The overall scheme creates an office space that evokes the feeling of home.
The size of it 440sqm; divided in different zones to incorporate specific requirements of the company. It includes a choice of meeting spaces, the main working area, a breakout area, a dining space, flexible standing ‘hot desk’ area, a fully equipped bespoke kitchen.
The open oak framed shelving divides the ‘living’ space. The use of lower dimmed lighting, pink hue sofas and planting create a more relaxing atmosphere.
The dining area and kitchen are situated at the heart of the space. The yellow coloured wall combines these areas creating a vibrant contrast with the softer colours of the main office area in hues of pink and green.
The vintage Louis Poulsen pendants in two sizes are scattered around the office to allow for a different quality of light to the overal working space.
The kitchen has been designed to accommodate the needs of a working office but the result is a kitchen that one could easily find in a residential property. Birch ply is the main material for the carcassing and cabinet fronts with a copper splashback that adds some warmer and yet more polished tones, together with the reclaimed iroko worktops and brass handles.
The tables are very large, 6m long and 2m wide all designed and made bespoke. The material used in its entirety are long and rare reclaimed iroko pieces salvaged from school laboratories put together and strengthened underneath with the angle-designed legs.
The meeting rooms are separated from the main space with natural finished oak glazed joinery combined with linen curtains to allow for privacy.
